SPIM DotA Competition

Great news for all gamers using Steam and Garena accounts!

Previously (more than 5years ago!!), the ports used for Steam and Garena games were blocked off from Digital-Life@Moberly, meaning games (such as the ever popular Counter-Strike, Team-Fortress, Left4Dead, and DotA alike) requiring these Online-E-Sports-Community to play online can not be accessed.

NOW, in November 2009, the ports are finally OPENED!!!!
We can now enjoy the wide spectrum of games avaliable on either Steam or Garena, and combined together with the internet connection (dedicated for gaming) at Digital-Life@Moberly, we can be sure that our gaming experience will be as smooth as possible.

Digital-Life@Moberly is usually open(unless we have meetings or trainings going on) from 11AM ~ 8PM, rain or shine, on weekdays.

SPIM is having a weekly DotA event for all student around SP, this event is to let everyone know more friends around SP through this gaming experience.

Registration starts now and it can be made at the counter at Digital Life @ Moberly. It will be free and SPIM hopes that everyone will come down and support this event, be it playing, or spectating.

The event will be on this Friday and if there is any changes, this blog will be updated, so please come back for updates. Hell Gate London Figurines to be won by participants, 1 per team and additional 1 for the winning team.

The “Be The 12th Player” EASports.™ Fifa Online 2 Competition, NP Cyber Soccer Cup, SP Cyber Soccer Cup, organised by IAHgames, co-organised by Ngee Ann Polytechnic and Singapore Polytechnic was a success!

The Top 2 players from the respective Polytechnics are automatically qualified for the Starhub Cup! While the Top 4 players has qualified for the IVP Challenge! For the follow-up competitions (Starhub Cup, Inter-Varsity Polytechnic(IVP) Challenge, One Asia Cup) follow them @ (Click Here!) or, (Click Here!) or, (Click Here!) .

With the Cyber Soccer Cup aside,

There is also an upcoming SPIM Camp, where you guys will be able to join on
OCTOBER 3rd to 5th!
You can ask non-SPIM members to join but they must be from Singapore Polytechnic!
